Media Arts Cultures is an evolving multidisciplinary field, on the very cutting-edge of the intersection between art, science and technology, whose main academic subjects include, among others: history of art and technology; arts-based research and practice; elements of Digital Humanities like: digitization and creative reuse in the cultural sphere and the archiving and preservation of digital culture; cultural heritage and intangible heritage in the digital age; museums and exhibitions, conservation and restoration; methods and theories of aesthetics, gamification and new directions like blending art and science practice.
